For those visiting Pittsburgh from further away (or those who want to pretend you are for a few days).

Lodging

There’s no official hotel block, so choose your own adventure!

There are lots of Airbnbs in Lawrenceville and Bloomfield, quite near the venue. The East Liberty, Highland Park, or Friendship neighborhoods are also great places to stay.

We’ve also listed some conveniently located hotels - though there are others in nearby neighborhoods. All are within a 10 - 15 minute drive of the venue.

(Note: We do not suggest staying at the TRYP by Whyndham in Lawrenceville, even though it’s close to the venue; we’ve heard not-great things about their rooms.)

Things To Do While in Pittsburgh

Looking for more things to do? Here are some of our favorites:

• Hang out with us on Friday and/or Sunday, if the timing works out for you.
• See the birds at the National Aviary
• Grab a baked good from Third Space Bakery, and a non-alcoholic cocktail across the street at The Open Road if their bar is open.
• Visit Phipps Conservatory and see all the beautiful plants
• Thursday-Sunday morning, get the best breakfast sandwich you’ve ever eaten from Thyme Machine.
• Buy a book and have a cup of coffee at White Whale Bookstore
• Friday evening, Penn Ave through the Garfield neighborhood holds a "First Fridays" event with local vendors, shops, and artists.
• Go to one of the many museums: The Carnegie Museum of Art and the Heinz History Center are favorites.
• Try a downtown Pittsburgh walking tour
• Rent a bike from POGOH and go for a ride by one of the rivers
• Walk through Frick Park or Highland Park, or (more strenuous) try a Pittsburgh Steps hike.
• Saturday morning, check out the Bloomfield Farmers Market from 9am-1pm
